Marc Mathys brings a depth of experience and education to his role as your bankruptcy lawyer. Marc began his adult life when he entered the US Air Force Academy at age 17. After his honorable discharge from active duty he graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in systems engineering in 1977. Marc was then accepted into the rigorous law program at Pepperdine University. There he received his J.D., in 1980. He immediately began a legal career which included serving as an in house counsel for EEC Resources, serving as a deputy Coroner for Lake County Indiana, and ultimately the establishment of his law firm, Mathys and Associates.
He has held real estate and securities licenses since 1988 and has an extensive knowledge of mergers ans acquisitions, venture capital, tax, and real estate.
Recognizing the need for more diverse knowledge, Marc attended graduate engineering classes at Purdue University and obtained a “quicky” advanced management degree at Harvard’s PMD57 Program.
Marc has lived and worked extensively overseas in Switzerland, France and the UK, both as a lawyer and a business executive. He has been led cross border acquisitions, start-ups, and sophisticated international tax and business structures. He has represented or worked for multinationals such as Price Waterhouse, Onmi Holdings, Inspectorate as well as entrepeneurs and high net worth individuals.
Marc is undoubtedly the most knowledgeable and experienced international lawyer in the Oxnard Plain. Marc resides here with his wife and three sons and has been on the finance counsel for Pitkin County and has been President of the Maroon Castle Creek Caucus.
